The promise of a Catholic school is the promise of an education that is holistic and student focused. It is the promise of an education that draws an entire school community – parents, teachers, and students, into the arms of Christ.
A Catholic school is more than just a school, it is a family. Through God, our eternal Father, and Jesus, our divine Brother and Savior – we are called to love our entire human family. In the example of Mary, the holy mother of our Lord, and her most chaste spouse, St. Joseph, we are given a holy model for nurturing our own families. And so the Catholic school family augments and supports both the family of humanity and the family of hearth and home.
A Catholic education is molded around the particular needs of each child. In family centered Catholic schools, children are connected to the eternal and the sacred, to values that give young people the opportunity to see themselves as valuable, meaningful, and contributive to the world.
Archbishop J. Michael Miller, former secretary of the Congregation of Catholic Education at the Vatican has noted that a Catholic school “is Catholic because it undertakes to educate the whole child, addressing the requirements of his or her natural and supernatural perfection. It is Catholic because it provides an education in the intellectual and moral virtues. It is Catholic because it prepares for a fully human life at the service of others and for the life of the world to come.”
At Holy Family Catholic School, we strive to deliver on the promise of Catholic education at every turn, ever prayerful and mindful of God’s loving providence in our endeavors.
May God’s blessings be bestowed on you and your family.
Live Jesus In Our Hearts . . . Forever,
